To be read in conjunction with the Rules of Golf.
1 OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 27-1).
1.1 Beyond the perimeter fence line of the course.
1.2 Beyond the White Posts on holes 1, 2, 18.
1.3 Car Park, Caretakers gardens, Mini Golf Course.
2 PREFERRED LIES.
A ball lying on the fairway being played may be, without penalty, lifted, cleaned and placed within one club length not nearer the hole. The player may place the ball once and after the ball is placed it is in play. The fairways are defined by furrows; the furrow mark is part of the fairway.
In addition Ladies have a preferred lie, as above, from tee to green within the Ladies markers on the tee being played and the boundary of the fairway.
NOTE: The original position of the ball must be marked prior to taking a preferred lie. If the player fails to mark the position of the ball before lifting it the player incurs a penalty of one stroke.
3 GRAVEL AREAS.
A ball lying in a gravel area on the fairway being played may be dropped at the nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole, on that fairway without penalty.
4 EMBEDDED BALL.
Through the green a ball which is embedded in its own pitch mark in the ground other than sand may be lifted, without penalty, cleaned and dropped as near as possible to where it lay but not nearer the hole. The ball when dropped must first strike part of the course through the green. (Refer Rule 25-2).
5 STAKED TREES.
Where young trees identified by stakes interfere with a player’s stance or area of intended swing, the ball must be lifted without penalty and dropped in accordance with rule24-2b. The ball may be cleaned when so lifted.
6 IMMOVEABLE OBSTRUCTIONS.
All stakes, posts, signs, seats, fixed sprinkler heads, firebreaks, artificially surfaced roads and paths, protective netting fences (practice tee and Hole 7 tee) and fairway marking furrows on any hole not being played are immoveable obstructions. The player may take relief under rule 24.2b.
NOTE: there is NO line of sight relief from protective netting fences.
7 WATER HAZARDS.
Water Hazards are defined by Yellow Stakes that form part of the Hazard.
Lateral Water Hazards are defined by Red Stakes that form part of the Hazard.

8 DRAINS.
A ball coming to rest in any drain, unless the drain is otherwise defined, may be dropped without penalty within one club length from the margin of the drain, not nearer the hole, on the side of the drain from which the ball entered the drain and adjacent to where the ball has come to rest in the drain. The ball may be cleaned when so lifted.
If a drain, not otherwise defined, interferes with a player’s stance or swing relief may be taken in accordance with Rule 24.2.b.
9 OVERHEAD WIRES.
A ball striking an overhead Power line must be replayed without penalty.
10 BUNKER WASHAWAYS.
If a players ball lies in a washaway in a bunker or the washaway interferes with a player’s stance or area of extended swing the player may take relief under Rule25-1b(ii).
11 GROUND UNDER REPAIR.
11.1 Those areas marked with white stakes, white lines and/or designated with appropriate Ground Under Repair signs are to be treated as Ground Under Repair and relief must be taken in accordance with the procedures in Rule 25-1.
11.2 All garden beds not previously mentioned in these rules are to be treated as Ground Under Repair and relief must be taken in accordance with the procedures in Rule 25-1.
12 ANT NESTS AND TRAILS.
If a player’s ball lies on or near an active ant nest or trail the player may take relief in accordance with the procedures in Rule 25.1.
13 PRACTICE AREAS.
Practice on competition days is only allowed on the Practice Green located adjacent to the 18th Green or the Practice Fairway located between the 10th and 11th fairways.
14 FAIRWAY DISTANCE MARKERS.
To centre of green. White 100 metres. Yellow 150 metres
15 DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES.
For all play at this course a player may obtain distance information by use of a distance-measuring device. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance measuring-device to gauge or measure other conditions that might effect his play (e.g. elevation changes, wind speed etc.) the player is in breach of 14-3.
16 TEMPORARY LOCAL RULES.
See notice boards at Club House for any Temporary Local Rules.
17. ACCIDENTAL MOVEMENT OF A BALL ON A PUTTING GREEN
Rules 18.2, 18.3 and 20.01 are modified as follows:
When a player’s ball lies on the putting green, there is no penalty if the ball or a ball- marker is accidentally moved by the player, his partner or any of their caddies or equipment.
The moved ball or ball-marker must be replaced as provided in Rules 18.2, 18.3 and 20.1
This Local Rule applies only when the player’s ball or ball-marker lies on the putting green and any movement is accidental.
NOTE: If it is determined that a player’s ball on the putting green was moved as a result of wind, water or some other natural cause such as the effects of gravity, the ball must be played as it lies from its new location. A ball-marker moved in such circumstances is replaced.
